Alabama Legislative Session- end of week 03/25/11
It was a good week for animals at the State House! HB 74, the cockfighting bill passed out of House Judiciary Committee!! HB 147, the ban on gas chambers passed House Agriculture committee and HB115 /SB194, the bill to strengthen the dog fighting law passed House and Senate committees!!
If you haven’t already contacted your legislators to ask their support now is the time to act!! Ask what their position is on these bills- if it is unfavorable, please let me know so we know who to work on.
The Animal Welfare Rally at the State House was a big success- there was a terrific turnout- all of the speakers did a great job and several 4 legged advocates made the scene- a good time was had by all. A big “thank you” to all who attended.
Enjoy the gorgeous weather this weekend!!
